- A sample communications survey prepared by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives

- A best practices document prepared by the Association Forum of Chicagoland. Recommends a social media strategy.
- SAA Periodicals Redesign Survey, 2010. (Attached, see below)
- SAA members were invited to take this Survey Monkey survey; approximately 147 responded. The overarching goal was to create graphic unity among Archival Outlook, In the Loop, and American Archivist in order to strengthen the SAA brand and polish the presentation. Redesigns for ITL and AO have been implemented.
- SAA Communication Technology Working Group Final Report, January 2011.
- The Communications Task Force was charged to follow up on the work of the CTWG.
- SAA 2011 Member Satisfaction Survey Report and Data.
- Rich data collected from the membership, includes good information on communication channels.
- Off the Record
- SAA President Jackie Dooley started this SAA leadership blog in 2012. It’s not the “official” voice of SAA but rather a place to share information and opinion.
- SAA Uniform Guidelines for Websites and Social Media
- A section of the SAA Governance Manual which provides guidelines and policies for component groups such as sections and roundtables. The social media section was revised by Council in 2012 to allow more flexibility for component groups that wish to use social media.
- "Is change possible within SAA? Or, Why I want to kill Archival Outlook"
- This post on SAA member Kate Theimer’s blog, ArchivesNext, proposes changes to the 6 times yearly print newsletter. Responses provide additional perspectives.
- SAA Google Analytics reports 2012 (attached, see below)
- These reports contain excellent data on use of the SAA website. Useful for a variety of purposes.
