SAA Code of Conduct
SAA does not tolerate harassment in any form. In keeping with the core principles stated in its Code of Ethics for Archivists and Equal Opportunity/Non-Discrimination Policy, SAA is committed to providing a harassment-free environment. All SAA members, attendees, speakers, presenters, and exhibitors at any SAA-sponsored event are subject to the Code of Conduct and agree to acknowledge and abide by the Code of Conduct when they register for an event and/or when they join or renew their SAA membership. Code of Conduct information is posted in every session room at ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2019 and in the Registration Area.

All-Gender Restrooms
At the conference organizers’ request, the JW Marriott has designated a total of five all-gender restrooms on Levels 2 and 4 of the hotel. In addition, one “family” restroom is available on Levels 2 and 3. For locations, see the hotel maps on page 64 of this program book and on the conference app. HOTEL MAP
Bystander Intervention Tips
In our daily lives we may witness public instances of interpersonal violence or harassment. Educate yourself about what to do in these situations! Pick up a copy of the American Friends Service Committee Bystander Intervention Tips in the Registration Area.
Why Go Fragrance-Free?
To maintain a welcoming and accessible environment for all attendees, we encourage you to refrain from wearing scented products (such as perfumes/colognes), clothing with strong detergent scents, fragrant personal care products, etc., as these can trigger serious health issues for those with fragrance allergies. A fragrance-free seating section will be available in each session room. Thank you for your consideration for all members of our community!
