SAA Research Forum

Free to conference registrants; $50/$25 (students) for those not registered for the conference.

Not an SAA member? Consider joining today! See full member benefits here. The online registration form provides the option to join and register in one transaction.

SAA Full members are not eligible for the SAA Student member rate. Student nonmembers are required to fax a copy of a valid student ID or other proof of enrollment to the Conference Office (312-606-0728) to qualify for the student discount.

Cancellations and Refunds: If for any reason you must cancel your registration, your written request must be received before July 5, 2019, to receive a full refund. A $50 handling charge will be assessed for written cancellations postmarked between July 5 and July 15.  No refunds will be issued after July 15.

Guest Option:  This option (designed especially for spouses and children of conference attendees) allows the guest to attend the Plenary Sessions, the All-Attendee Reception, and the Exhibit Hall. Guest registrations must accompany the conference attendee’s registration. When registering a guest, please be sure to include full names on the registration form.

 

Pre-Conference Courses

Come to Austin early! Enhance your conference experience— and make the most of your professional development budget— by attending a one- or two-day course before the conference—and return to work with new knowledge and skills that you can put to use right away….

Class size is limited to ensure interaction between the instructor(s) and participants. Pre-conference Course fees are in addition to conference fees.You do not need to attend the joint annual meeting in order to attend pre-conference courses.

Courses will take place on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1.

SAA Pre-Conference Course Cancellations and Refunds: Participants who cancel their registration in writing (e-mail is acceptable) by July 15, 2019, will receive a refund, minus a $40 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after July 15. If you are flying to the workshop location, please note that a workshop may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. The decision to cancel a workshop is made three weeks prior to the start date. If you’ve found a really good airfare before that time, contact us at education@archivists.org and ask if the workshop is a “GO” before booking any non-refundable flights. We will notify you in the unlikely event that an offering will not take place as scheduled. If you have not heard from us 21 days prior to the start date, you can assume that the workshop will be held.
