At its August 2011 meeting the SAA Council voted unanimously to establish a Glossary Working Group that will maintain and update A Glossary of Archival and Records Terminology (Richard Pearce-Moses, 2005) on a permanent basis. This group, comprising experts and with representation from the Publications Board and the Standards Committee, will allow SAA to build on the original publication and ensure that A Glossary of Archival and Records Terminology remains an enduring resource of the highest quality.
See the group’s description below for details. SAA Vice President/President-Elect Jackie Dooley seeks SAA members to serve on this working group. If you’re interested in serving, include in an email message directed to saahq@archivists.org your full name, title, institution, and experience within SAA (e.g., how many years a member, section and roundtable memberships, committee service), along with a brief statement of interest and qualifications (specifically related to your expertise in the topics outlined in the Purpose statement). Please use the subject line: Glossary Working Group (Your Last Name). Deadline: July 27, 2012.
