Steering Committee Elections: Call for Nominations

Serving on the Government Records Steering Committee is a great way to learn more about how SAA works, network with other government archivists, and contribute to your profession. The GRS Nominating and Elections Committee encourages you to nominate yourself or another Section member.


We have four openings this year and terms run from August 2014 to August 2016. 


Steering Committee members must remain SAA members in good standing for the duration of their terms.  


Steering Committee members help to craft responses to Council's requests for comments and feedback (for example, Steering Committee members reviewed and commented upon a draft report that ultimately gave rise to the Digital Archives Specialist curriculum), help to guide any projects that the Section undertakes, and help to organize Section meetings.  The amount of work involved is not onerous.  


This is a great opportunity to contribute to SAA and to the Government Records Section.
