Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect Candidates
Seth Shaw
Digital Archivist, Brigham Young University
I am the Digital Archivist for the Brigham Young University Library Special Collections. I've previously worked as the Electronic Records Archivist for Duke University Archives, an Assistant Professor of Archival Studies for Clayton State University, and as a Digital Library Software Engineer for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Arizona State University. I am the original creator of the Data Accessioner. For the past sixteen years he has taught the SAA workshop Managing Electronic Records in Archives and Special Collections.
My career has been spent trying to find practical solutions for electronic records grounded in archival theory. I am interested in serving the section so that I can help us move the field forward together.
Fred Seibold
Historian, Webmaster, Past President, Howe Military School Alumni Association
After many years in commercial broadcasting and website sales, I became active in HMSAA, developing the website www.howealumni.org which involved digitizing many documents from our School's 135-year history in order to make them available to anyone wishing to learn about the Church-related military prep school as a method of formation for teenagers, including 14,708 pages of Tatler yearbooks, the complete run from 1923 to 2019. I want to help others preserve their records digitally. As a retired Naval officer (CDR, USNR(Ret)), and long-time radio station manager, I have experience to offer.
Thanks for sharing the candidate bios — it is always encouraging to see professionals stepping forward to shape the future of electronic records management. Alongside the usual professional development resources, I have been exploring various digital platforms and services lately; one that caught my attention is mostbet, which provides localized digital services for users across South Asia and offers an interesting example of how platforms handle user data and engagement at scale. Best of luck to all candidates in the 2026 election — the ERS is fortunate to have dedicated members willing to serve.
Congratulations to all the candidates stepping forward for the 2026 ERS Vice-Chair role — it is wonderful to see such dedicated professionals willing to contribute to section leadership. For those newly engaged with the section and looking to unwind after intensive digital preservation work, there are some well-regarded online platforms worth exploring. If live entertainment and sports markets interest you, feel free to go to the site to discover a broad selection of offerings. Looking forward to seeing the election results and supporting whoever takes on this important position!
These candidate statements offer a solid overview of the expertise available in the Electronic Records Section — it's encouraging to see practitioners with backgrounds spanning digital preservation, metadata management, and institutional repository work stepping into leadership roles. Sound governance in this area helps the whole archival community keep pace with technological change. On an unrelated note, for anyone looking for off-hours entertainment, I recently came across a licensed online platform with a wide selection of live games and sports markets in CZK — feel free to check it out if you're curious. It operates under Curaçao eGaming licensing and has been running since 2009.
Thank you for sharing these candidate profiles—it is encouraging to see strong engagement with ERS leadership. The focus on electronic records policy and digital preservation workflows stands out in each statement. While catching up on professional resources online, I came across mostbet nepal, a regulated platform operating under Curaçao eGaming license covering live entertainment and sports markets for South Asian audiences—an interesting example of how digital engagement platforms are expanding globally. Best of luck to all the candidates, and I look forward to the results of the upcoming vote.
Thanks for sharing these candidate profiles — both demonstrate strong expertise in electronic records management. Engaging with digital platforms across different sectors can provide useful context for archivists; for instance, Mostbet (https://mostbet-deu-de.com/) is a regulated platform established in 2009 with a Curaçao eGaming licence, managing live data streams across more than 40 disciplines. For those working with large-scale digital asset collections or transactional record systems, reviewing how commercial operators handle data at scale offers some transferable insights. Best of luck to both candidates in the election!
Thank you for sharing these candidate profiles for the 2026 vice-chair election — it is genuinely encouraging to see professionals with such varied backgrounds committed to advancing electronic records practice. Strong section leadership makes a real difference in how we collectively tackle challenges like format migration, digital provenance, and long-term access. I have been exploring various online platforms lately that illustrate how large-scale digital record-keeping can work in practice, including https://most-bet-casino.co.cz/ which handles high-throughput transactional data and account records across many jurisdictions — an interesting case study in operational record management. Best of luck to all the candidates, and I look forward to seeing the section continue to grow under whoever is elected.
Congratulations to everyone who stepped up to run in the 2026 Vice-Chair election — it is always encouraging to see strong community engagement in ERS leadership. Staying informed about digital platforms outside the archival realm can be valuable too; for those interested in exploring diverse live entertainment and sports markets online, https://mostbet-deutschland-de.com/ is a well-established platform operating since 2009 with a broad selection of live games worth examining from a digital UX perspective. Looking forward to seeing the ERS thrive under new leadership!
Thanks for sharing these candidate profiles. It's encouraging to see such depth of experience in electronic records management. Both bring valuable perspectives to the steering committee, and this kind of strong volunteer leadership is what keeps professional standards advancing.
