Notes: 

Temporary files1 may include materials by the author of the final document, as well as documents and reports created by others by relied on as sources for the final document. - Temporary files2 are often deleted by the process that creates them. Some operating systems have a specific directory that applications may use to store temporary files; a utility program routinely cleans out the temporary directory to eliminate files that, for some reason, were not properly deleted by the creating process.
