In a photomontage, the image is not perfectly unified; the use of different images as parts of the whole is not disguised. Photomontage is distinguished from collage, which is a work in which the pieces do not form a unified picture. Distinguish from combination prints and composites3, which have unified images that give the appearance of being made with a single negative.
