actionable information

Relationships
Broader Term:

n. ~ Data, often unrelated and dispersed, that has been assembled to facilitate decision making.

Notes:

Knowledge management, in part, seeks to assemble information scattered throughout the organization's records and add value to that information by discovering patterns and meaning that would otherwise be overlooked. This newly discovered, actionable information, in principle, can serve as the basis for better decisions.
