I have 30+ years of experience developing, managing, preserving, and promoting the use of archives and heritage collections in a variety of formats. I offer services in planning, program development, project support, and more. I will work with you to meet your unique goals.

If you’re starting an archives program, or want to take your program to the next level, I can help. I have led archives programs at two academic institutions, and have experience in strategic planning, budget administration, grant-writing, collection development, records management, donor stewardship, reference, outreach, exhibitions, programming, and managing diverse staff.

Maybe you need someone to come in and manage a discrete project, or temporary help to accomplish the work. I have planned, implemented, and managed a variety of projects – including oral histories, specialized websites, publications, exhibitions, documentation, processing, and digitization projects. I am also experienced in – and happy to do – the hands-on work of such projects. I am well-versed in current and emerging standards and best practices for preservation, archival processing, and metadata – including anti-racist description practices.

Though I’m based in California, I can adapt to your time zone. I have worked successfully and productively with collaborators in time zones across North America, as well as in Europe and the Middle East.
