Capacity: Maximum 20 per tour.

Description: Enjoy a one-hour tour of the San Diego Air and Space Museum located in beautiful Balboa Park.  Explore the Museum’s Library and Archives, the third largest of its type in the nation, where the Archives staff will explain their effort to digitize their vast photo and moving image holdings and put them online.  Additional highlights include a “behind-the-scenes” look at the Museum’s restoration/construction area, where flyable aircraft are built from scratch, and a visit to the “4-D” theater!

Directions: Located in Balboa Park, 2001 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101.  Take Park Boulevard to President’s Way, make a left, and go forward until the first stop sign; then look for the big building with airplanes out front on your left! Go to the admission desk and let them know you are there for the Library tour.  Bus route 7 has a stop at the corner of Park and President’s Way, just a few steps away from the Museum.
