April 11, 2022—The SAA Foundation Board seeks comments by April 29 on a draft of the new SAA Foundation Strategic Plan for fiscal years 2023–2025.

The Foundation Board began drafting its first strategic plan in fall 2021, following recommendations from development consultants to further the foundation's growth. This proposed draft gathers both ongoing and new activities, with many connections to the SAA Strategic Plan and the new SAA Work Plan on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.

Tell SAA and COPP Your CPF Initiatives Today!

April 5, 2022—Does your archives have an infrastructure project or a major initiative that needs federal funding support? Last year, Congress brought back “earmarks” as part of the appropriations process and at least two projects put forth by SAA members were successful in seeing their projects (totaling $1.1 million!) directly funded by Congress. Members of Congress can once again direct spending to specific projects or entities in their states and districts this year.
