website

n. A collection of web pages related by content or domain.

Notes

In its simplest form, a website is the collection of all files on a single server identified by a single domain. In some instances, a single server may host several sites; for example, an Internet service provider may host many subscriber websites on a single server. A large, complex website may span several servers and potentially several domains but is unified by its content; for example, a corporation may host its static and dynamic web pages on different servers, each with a different domain.

Boudrez and Van den Eynde 2002, p. 24 If a website of a local department of a political party is part of the general website of that party, it is easier to archive the complete website. Otherwise the danger exists that files, frames or frame sets are missing and that the archives and online version differ thoroughly.
