The Society of American Archivists (SAA), established in December 1936, is the oldest and largest national professional association for archivists and allied professionals in North America. SAA has an active publishing program; develops standards, guidelines, and best practices for the profession; and is a vehicle for education through its annual conference, certificate programs, and other opportunities. SAA strives to incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and cultural competency into all aspects of its work.
