portal

n. ~ An entry point, especially a web page, that provides access to information from a variety of sources and that offers a variety of services.

Notes:

Originally, portals principally organized information from other sources but have expanded to include email, chat, shopping, and other services. A portal may be public or restricted to an intranet. Portals can frequently be personalized so that users can tailor the interface based on their preferences.
