n. ~ 1. Parallel furrows used as decoration. - 2. Conservation ยท A wave-shaped deformation at the edge of flat surface.

Notes: 

Fluting2 may appear on the edge of film wound on reels or pages of books if the outer edges are exposed to a humid environment, allowing them to take on more moisture and swell, while the inner portions remain dry and the original size.
