flatbed camera
(also flat-bed camera), n. ~ Equipment for production of microfilm that consists of a table to hold the original, an upright to support the film unit (camera) overhead, lights extending above and to the side of the table, and a control unit.
Notes:
When filming with a flatbed camera, both the film and document are stationary during exposure.
